
Today I joined that elite club of people that can swim 2.4 miles. That is the full Ironman swim course distance. Although this was in a pool, and only part of my training, it was the furthest swim I have had to date and I was happy to be armed with the knowledge that I can make it that far without sinking, spewing, crashing, flailing or drowning. The swim went by faster than I expected and I felt strong almost the enitre time. Don't get me wrong, there was deffinitely times where it did seem long, but I think that was only because I initially thought it would be. As the swim went on, I was acutally supried how quickly I was knocking out each 1000.
